PURPOSE

The Hepatitis C Rapid Test (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a multilayer, side-flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of antibodies (IgG, IgM and IgA) to hepatitis C virus (HCV) in human whole blood, serum or plasma. It is intended for use as a screening test and as an aid in the diagnosis of HCV infection. Any reactive specimen with the HCV Ab rapid cassette should be confirmed by alternative testing methods and clinical findings.
