Troponin I rapid test is designed to detect ischemic myocardial muscle damage for early diagnosis of myocardial infarction.
Test procedure:
1. Bring samples and test device to room temperature (15-30ºC). Do not open the individual package until you are fully prepared to begin testing.
Remove the test device from the individual packaging and begin testing immediately.
3. Place the test device on a clean, dry surface. Holding the pipette vertically, add 100 μl or 3 drops of sample into the sample well (S) on the test device.
4. Wait until the streak(s) appears.
The test result should be interpreted within 10 minutes, but no later than 15 minutes from the start of the test.
Interpretation of Results:
Positive:
The result reading window shows two colored lines, a test line (T) and a control line (C), which serves as a control for proper use of the test device. The color intensity of the test line may differ from the color intensity of the control line.
Negative:
The appearance of only one colored control strip (C) in the result reading window indicates a negative test result.
Invalid:
No colored bars are visible in the test result reading window.
A positive test result can only be set if the test line appears in the result reading window (as well as the test line).
If the test line is missing, the test result is considered invalid and must be repeated using a new test device.
